Style Icon: Katy Perry
“Style Icon” is going to be a new section where I pick a celebrity (past or present) each week that I feel is a major style icon, hence the title. I will give you the low-down on who they are, why I like their style, and how you can get their looks for less of course. And here’s this week’s style icon: Katy Perry.
Her debut album may be titled, “One of the Boys,” but she definitely doesn’t dress like one. Not only known for her gutsy songs, (she has a song titled, “I Kissed a Girl”) she’s also known for her gutsy fashion sense. Wearing anything but pants, she classes it up in floral dresses, retro jumpers, and colorful hot pants that have a splash of personality and color to them. Of course she adds her own “Katy Perry” flavor to them by adding her own eye-catching accessories. Somehow, she still ends up looking like a class act. Whether her and her music is here to stay or not, she definitely has made a lasting impression in the fashion world.
