Style Icon: Lucille Ball

(This was supposed to be posted last Thursday, but due to technical difficulties it never got posted. Read on and enjoy.)

Even though the show was named after her (hello, it’s I Love Lucy!) Ricky Ricardo never wanted Lucy to steal the spotlight. Although Lucille Ball did successfully steal the spotlight from her husband in real life. She was not just one of the first women of comedy, but she was a TV housewife that was refreshing to watch. We all wanted to be Lucy. From her crazy schemes to her performances, she had it all. And she had great style as well. I remember wanting a polka dot dress when I was younger. And my mom did eventually buy me one…Now you can look like Lucy too, and lead your own conga band without needing a Ricky Ricardo in your life.

  3. Lucille Ball is the distant cousin of the General of the Armies of the United States and President of the United States George Washington! While Ball has the highest viewed comedian in the history of television, Washington has the highest military rank in the history of the United States!!!!!!!
