Style Icon: Michael Jackson Circa 1980s

Posted by: TheFashionGuru on: June 18, 2009

This “Gloved One” was certainly in a league of his own. No matter what’s going on with him now, we can all safely say that he took the pop music world by storm in the 1980s. With his leather jackets, white socks, and rhinestone glove, he definitely stood out. And now the broad shoulder and military look is coming back for the fall. This look is very versatile for both men and women. You can become your own King and Queen of Pop. Just don’t wear it all at once or you’ll look like you belong on the stage.

Great pictures, nice post. Love the latest Jacko-inspired military looks n=by Balmain et al.

A few months ago I purchased a William Rast jacket that has a Thriller vibe to it! I bought it at Nordstrom, and used Ebates.com for the cash back!

My condolences go out to his family and friends at this time, Michael Jackson was truly a great artist who paved the way for many musian’s over the past 40 yrs. He will be missed. along with his jacket.
