 A lot of moving and shaking… There are so many fashion deals and moving and shaking going on in the industry that it’s almost impossible to keep track of them. First off, the saga at the house of Christian Lacroix continues. After filing for court protection from its creditors in Paris a few months ago just before the fall Couture 2009 season, the couture house, which hasn’t turned a profit in its 22 years of existence, may have found a buyer. According to reports, Ajman sheihk has submitted a bid and is looking to inject as much as 70 million euros into the house. Documents have yet to be signed, and financial guarantees are not yet in place.

The promising news continues over at Badgley Mischka, where Mark Badgley and James Mischka are reportedly in talks to launch a lifestyle line with HSN. Specific details on the line, which could hit as early as next fall, have yet to be revealed, but given the state of the industry and how popular high-low designer collaborations have been these past few years (HSN also works with Loulou de la Falaise, Randolph Duke, Beyonce’s mother Tina Knowles, and Molly Sims), the collaboration doesn’t seem very far fetched.
