About the Blog
The Fashion Guru Blog provides you with news on fashion and beauty. I also post inspirational fashion photos. I write, publish and edit all the content on this blog.
Most of the content is written by me or with permission from the media. I always provide a back link for photos and articles taken from another source. Please link back to this blog if you want to use my articles and photographs.
About the Blogger
My name is Chanél and I live in Massachusetts. I’m currently a freelance fashion journalist and columnist for Examiner.com. I’ve been a fashion blogger since November 2008. I’ve flown under the radar unlike other bloggers.
I graduated with an A.S. in healthcare administration, but fashion was always my passion. Fashion is a form of expression. I like to teach my readers how they can express themselves through fashion. I’ve built up a small army of “little gurus” over the years.
My work has been published on online magazines, websites, newspapers, and blogs. I’ve been writing professionally for the past six years. I’ve written several short stories, two novels (one finished; one in limbo), two editorial pieces, and thousands of articles.
On my spare time, I like to make collages, listen to music, talk to friends, spend time with family, read books, and stay active. My goal is to self-publish my memoir followed by a series of fashion books.
About My Personal Style
My personal style is always changing. Oftentimes, it reflects my mood. Right now, I’m more into care-free, flowy, Bohemian styles. I feel that Bohemian never really went out of style. It just laid low in the 80s.
I also like to wear classic pieces when I dress up for the office or for a special occasion. You can never go wrong with the Little Black Dress or a sexy black pencil skirt.
My style icons would include Nicole Richie, the Olsen Twins, Taylor Swift, Audrey Hepburn, and Grace Kelly. I’m sure there are many more, but those are the ones that I can think of, at the moment.
